  1. Man, probably peak Vice in my opinion with Simon and his Russian Roulette series. I remember being so invested into them and learned a hell of a lot about this conflict. It makes it easier for me to dispel all the bullshit that right wing jerkoffs try to regurgitate at me about how Ukraine should be destroyed.

  2. There is a clip from that video where the mi-24 directly flies above the reporter and fires some rockets afaik.

    Booked a flight in summer 2015 to Ukraine to check that shit out. Was in Mariupol as well and glad I did it, 7 years later and the city is no more.

  3. Shortly after this footage of a dumptruck full of Russian corpses pilled on each other was released, and a completely full morgue. I think 2 Russian soldiers on vacation were among the dead.

  5. VICE news really impressed me back then, I had (I’m 50+) never seen this type of news gathering before. The Ostrovsky roulette series absolutely hooked me and made the mainstream reporting look like college-level.. I also began following Hromadske Television who even produced a Sunday show in English.
