Wasn’t brave enough to try these…

  1. Kinda interesting: Today, the secret recipe is withheld from all but one employee at Elsenham Quality Foods in [Elsenham](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elsenham), England, the licensed manufacturer.

lot of interesting flavours they have for crisps these days. I was doing one of those monthly snack box things last year, with foods from around the world. I think it was Belgium that had champagne flavoured crisps. They were oddly good.

  2. Actually I’d try those.

    I really like ~~Gentleman’s Relish~~** Patum Peperium, even though I’m a lady.

** I had to choose my words carefully, because it looked sooo wrong!

  3. I see bespoke crisps can be protected by English Heritage now?

  4. I love this stuff on toast, but my wife and daughters allow me to eat it only if I’m in the shed at the top of the garden

  5. I didn’t know there was actually a thing called Gentleman’s Relish, and was confused as to why they’d so boldly sell “jizz crisps”.

    The more you know.

  6. Ahh, the Gentleman’s Relish. In less posh crisp shops, they’re just called Ready Salted.

  7. Oh wow, hubby had this exact packet of crisps yesterday at Battle Abbey café. He said they are quite beefy like a Bovril/strong Marmite taste to them.

Edit: Obviously not that exact packet… but that exact flavour/brand.

  8. CLARKSON!!! YOU INFANTILE PILLOCK!!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY BLOODY CRISPS, MAN!!!

  9. Dont know what the crisps are like but I regularly buy pots of Gentlemen’s Relish (as in the picture). I love it. Its an anchovy paste, very strong in flavour. I reckon if you are the kind of person who likes Marmite you might like it. It is not the same falvour but it has that same intense bite. A thin spreading on toast is great.
