I can hear conservatives cheering.
Mike Tyson should stop beating his meat into waterways.
Is that why my fish taste like chicken 🐔?
*”They’ll police themselves ..”*
One of the big points here is that these plants are meeting current standards but the standards are outdated and are in the process of being changed, but the entire waste processes of these plants could be updated by newer better systems that greatly reduce the toxicity of the water before being released.
*If only the companies and their investors could take a cut in profits… which we all know isn’t going to happen voluntarily.*
Lol and not a damn thing is going to change it. Not even a slap on the wrist fine. Been like this for decades
Good thing they closed all those plants and fired thousands of people to get the price of chicken up
Wait, I’ve seen [this movie](https://youtu.be/ctkkn1qSYKw?si=4x4Zqah8HjVjyx6m) before.
So is this art imitating life or life imitating art?
Cultured meat is sounding better all the time. Less pollution, less animal suffering.
They haven’t trained the 12- year old they hired for the job on dealing with the wastewater yet.
‘They’re feeding us though!’
I already boycotted them a long time ago. They suffer constant recalls and quality problems anyway.
no way!
WE LANDED ON THE MOON!!!
The more we find out about how our meat and poultry is raised grown ame prepared the more we want to buy from local sources and pay a few bucks more to both avoid the poisons they’re putting in the food and the earth. That’s why many have gone to pescatarians or in some cases, vegetarianism. The way things are currently, it’s unsustainable and we have to make huge changes.
Didn’t they get in trouble for this exact same thing in the 90’s?
Another fine example of self policing and deregulation brought to you by Republicans…… clean up paid for by taxpayers but don’t worry the CEO will get his cut
The people running these companies that pollute like this are the real environmental terrorists.
The executives need to be treated like terrorists and any of their enablers treated the same.
This is the republican way: private profits for the owner class and the costs to society/environment are paid for by everyone (socialized).
with the bird flu?
If I know America, you’ll get poisoned and you’ll stfu about it and smile, because fuck you, shut up, work, and die.
Just wait until the Supreme Court repeals the Chevron deference next month. Long story short, it will be exceedingly difficult to apply any semblance of regulation to the biggest corporations. Or in other words, an already polluted world will become so much more polluted in quick order.
Another reason to not buy their garbage “food”.
Politicians already fined them and pocketed the money. Nothing else will be done.
Yeah, the EPA needs to go check out Perry Iowa. Tyson got the fuck out of there so you know they did some nasty shit.
Fuck Tyson Meat. No business for you! Clean up your shit!
Big business has been polluting for decades and no one really cares.
We see stories like this that are pretending to care but they really don’t.
Our government is a failure regardless of party affiliation.
People want their cheap meat and they don’t particularly care how they got it or what we wrecked in the process.
Somehow Taylor Swift’s plane is more important.
Just another reason — on top of trillions of others — not to eat flesh.
US Gov: “We’re fining you 1 million dollars.”
Tyson: <looks at their Billions of dollars in profits> “Ok.”
Just be thankful that they provide chicken to the free market at the lowest possible cost. This is what capitalism is, so say a gratitude prayer and stop complaining! /s
Yeah, I knew someone that died from his allergy to lions. His body had no defense against the attack.
Just listened to Swindled on Tyson. Zero surprise in this headline.
No shit
We need cheap and effective equipment to turn poop into gas (and subsequently electricity) and fertilizer.
We need regulations to force firms to invest in such equipment. And financing to help them.
You mean the company that is the least safe workplace in America, has had dozens and dozens of fines for mistreatment of animals and safety, was found to be manipulating the meat market prices multiple times and single-handedly ratfucked entire generations of farms also doesn’t care about our water being safe?!?
I love chicken but fuck Tyson.
Tyson isn’t an American company, it could actually be considered hostile act of terrorism
“Feeding you like family.” Boy howdy, somebody better check on those kids and spouses.
How is this possible?
Businesses are our friends and only want to help us escape from the tyranny of government.
That’s a lot of meat
Ugh, there are meat processors in my city prob doing the same thing… f
I wonder who gave them the authority to regulate themselves? I wonder if the pork industry also regulates themselves this well?
Dead chicken guts that are full of chicken shit……you don’t say.
