  1. >One account with the username @JoyceWillBeNext has posted almost 99,000 times since it was set up in March 2023, meaning it has posted an average 220 posts every day or once every seven minutes since then.

Yeah the gov should really pull Twitter/X up on this holy shit

  2. Are there similar accounts on the other end of the spectrum?

  3. By letting issues fester, the door is left open for more unsavory persons to gain traction.

Not like these tactics are new by any stretch, they’ve been employed by governments all over the world.

Not just Israel, Russia and China.

Ah well, things are just gonna get more and more clustery fucked.

  4. Remember too that the aims of the Russian bots in particular is to stir up anger, and get people in the West to turn against each other. They will have fake posters taking both sides of an argument.

  5. This is just gas lighting. “People only think we have problems because the bots are posting so”. It’s a non issue. Even the least engaged people can see Ireland has major problems right now.

  6. The worry for me is how they managing to make their way onto my feed/algorithm so much lately. It’s putting me off social media. At least I can see it for what it is and block them but there are plenty of people who will believe that stuff

  7. I’d gone down that rabbit hole before after reading the comments on some Facebook posts about Ireland.

The most Irish looking profiles (to a non-Irish person), posting hateful, bigoted, racist shit non-stop, and at really odd times of the day. It could be the most mundane post about some cafe or some shit, and gets flooded with comments about immigrants ruining the area, etc.

  8. twitter was often a nasty place, but X is a complete cesspool

  9. I changed roles recently and created a brand new twitter account and began following key people in Ireland in this sector and relevant regulatory authorities.

The account has zero posts no direct link to conspiracy related accounts.

The shite the suggested page content is filled with is just disinformation and conspiracy theories.

Yeah twitter is a cesspool but that is by design.

  10. Jesus wake up, these are #PutinBots

Only a nation state has the type of resources to devote to this type of propagandisation. The “asking legitimate questions” people have all been profiled and targeted online and our hapless government has followed the public rage stoked by the Kremlin, leaving Ukrainians high and dry.

Remember when we justified not sending military support to Ukraine because we were doing so much more on the humanitarian side ?

So, now that we have an explicit policy of being at the European average on humanitarian support it follows logically we’ll be sending mil equipment to compensate ?

    No ?

Oh look, the only agenda that suits is the Kremlin agenda.

“Legitimate questions” = absolute fools who have been profiled, targeted and delivered up the desired effect to Moscow.
