Saudi Arabia isn’t our friend. They never were. They were responsible for 9/11 and we didn’t do anything about it. Their government openly denigrates human rights, does not support liberalism, and is not a democracy. We support it for oil. This must end.
I dunno.. they seem to like Jared Kushner ok..
On the surface, it looks like it… Who would benefit, if the US gets involved.. is the answer. It’s apparently who that is now. They just tried it recently.
new?
Not like all but one of the terrorists weren’t Saudi’s
New evidence? Newly unredacted?
>Today, for most Americans, the global War on Terror has become a hazy memory from the time before Donald Trump. In Washington, policy makers avoid discussing the subject. Yet it bears remembering: It cost us $6 trillion, and that number is expected to go higher because of the long-term health-care costs for veterans. It turned the Middle East upside down, increasing the regional influence of Iran.
Dearest The Atlantic, you need to go a few decades before that if you really want to figure out what US involvement turned the Middle East upside down
But the Saudis like golf and boxing now so who cares.
We also started two wars in countries that weren’t Saudi Arabia so I don’t know if we were any better. The 2000’s were a cluster fuck.
However, we won’t bomb them or try to overthrow the government there. however, thousands of Afghans and Iraqis were killed. What a ghoul our nation is to the rest of the world.
Saudi Arabia might strengthen alliances/relations with the US without including Israel in the process (because they don’t want to do a 2 state solution) and now this sort of stuff starts trickling out.
The timing of it is amusing. I personally don’t understand how we gave the Saudis a pass (I mean from geopolitical, OPEC standpoint I do) on 9/11, but that ship has sailed.
Who was george bush photographed holding hands with and got airspace specially opened so they could fly the royal family out. Then suddenly Saddam was ths baddie..classic misdirection and corruption

The document provides detailed evidence and assertions regarding the involvement of Saudi officials and agents in supporting the 9/11 hijackers. Here are the key points summarized from the document:
1. **Coordinated Support Network**:
– The document states that Omar Al Bayoumi, Fahad Al Thumairy, Ismail Mana, and other Saudi officials and agents were part of a covert Saudi government platform designed to support pro-jihadist extremists, including the 9/11 hijackers Nawaf Al Hazmi and Khalid Al Mihdhar.
– This network was part of the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs’ efforts to promote extremism in the United States.
– The network provided essential support to the hijackers, including assistance with housing, banking, transportation, and flight training enrollment.
2. **Direct Involvement**:
– Bayoumi and Thumairy were specifically mentioned as having provided substantial assistance to Hazmi and Mihdhar upon their arrival in the United States.
– The document includes evidence such as phone records, testimonies, and other materials confirming the coordination between Saudi agents and the hijackers.
3. **Ideological Alignment**:
– The Saudi government’s Wahhabi network was ideologically aligned with Al Qaeda’s global jihad.
– Saudi officials and agents were found to have extensive connections to Al Qaeda and other terrorist activities.
4. **Diplomatic Protections and Cover**:
– Saudi officials involved in this enterprise were provided with diplomatic protections to shield their illegal activities from U.S. authorities.
5. **Misleading and Obstructive Behavior**:
– The document highlights instances of false testimony and deliberate obfuscation by Saudi officials, further suggesting their involvement and knowledge of the support network for the hijackers.
6. **Specific Actions and Evidence**:
– The document references specific actions taken by Bayoumi, such as hosting a welcome party for the hijackers, creating navigation calculations for a plane, and shooting a video of the U.S. Capitol.
– The FBI’s findings from 2017 identified Bayoumi as a cooptee of Saudi intelligence who received a monthly stipend from the Saudi government.
Overall, the document argues that there is overwhelming evidence showing that Saudi officials and agents, acting within the scope of their employment, provided essential and substantial support to the 9/11 hijackers, facilitating their mission in the United States. This support network was allegedly a core function of Saudi Arabia’s extremist MOIA enterprise.
Wasn’t the existing evidence already pretty damning?
Same as old evidence
This has been known since 2001.
And Crown Prince Bonesaw, aka MBS, is besties with Donnie and Jared. Hmm.
We’ve known this for at least 15 years. Bit late to the party Atlantic. Prepping for a new war?
The US has enough oil to fuck over OPEC and SA but some billionaires would get mad so…
[Lucky I was sitting down for that bombshell.](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/bin-laden-family-evacuated/)
Everyone needs to watch kitty history: https://youtu.be/0-Lvv1f5Qu4?si=CkoIk28WjJYgHOtG
Fuck S.A.
Yeah, we know.
And yet we are still bringing these fuckers to train on our military bases. Fuck the Saudi’s
But they have LIV golf now so all good
No shit? Like, didn’t we know this… twenty years ago?
Nice that we’ve decided to give them offensive weapons.
I’m shocked! SHOCKED!
Well… not that shocked.
You misspelled Saudi, it’s Israeli.
Shocked I say. Oh wait Saudi royal family known to be part of 9/11 back in early 2021 but GOP and their rich backers (including Trump) are in bed with the royal family and their money so they distracted America with Iraq and Afghan wars with dissent “during a time of war” shouted down.
Dems caved as they do but conservatives across the board were very pleased with plan war plans and with ignoring the Saudis.
Think had like 90% approval from conservatives. Just something to note when some conservative from that time grumbles about how post 9/11 was handled, chances are they were nodding along with same mindlessness then that they do now with Trump.
For all intents post 9/11 proved just how easy it was to trick the American people to support stupid things and been used constantly ever since.
Saudi Arabia is an essential part of the petrodollar system that keeps the dollar as the world’s reserve currency, and 3000 people being murdered isn’t going to get the U.S. government to upset that system.
How about we ditch fossil fuels and save the planet while ceasing to buy oil from the Saudis.
Time for my daily dose of Vitamin Duh.
This has been an open “secret” for years now. I remember a judge ruling a while back that families of victims were allowed to sue the Saudi Arabian government. That country has openly hated us for decades, and our government keeps capitulating to them because they have money and oil.
I thought we all already knew this?
