4. Schulz is a coward. It always looks like he is the anker in the progress towards a stiffer stand against Ruzzia. It’s like Putinni has some major dirt on Schulz and Schulz is afraid Putinni will reveal is one day… It smells like blackmail all over somehow because it doesn’t make common sense. If the stance of Schulz (Germany) against Putinni would have been the same as Poland and France, this conflict would have unfolded much differently.

    We want mutually beneficial agreements, fair to both parties.

    And only now do we realise if you want to communicate with a frenchman you dont talk german but french.

    You have to communicate in the language the person in front of you understands.

    And Putin only understands strength. So talking fair und cooperative are synonym with weakness.

19. Think redditors here should remember that Germany is the 2nd biggest aid donor to Ukraine.

    While criticism is warranted (and Germany behaviour at the beginning of the conflict was weird to say the least), we should all remember:

    1. Germany’s specific context: how anti war the population (not the government) was pre 2022. And how successful Germany has been as a country by balancing interests and talking to everyone (shifts like these are hard).

    2. Then genuinely impressive amount of support they have given (significantly more than UK+France combined) despite their reluctance in giving certain systems.

    And on the latter point …. Of using certain systems. Look. Ukrainians were bleeding because they didn’t have ammo, artillery shells and patriots. All of which Germany provided. Taurus is a nice add-on.

    So again, I want Germany to do more, I want a Taurus to blow up the Crimean bridge. But to call the German gov A-holes without taking into account the broader context is just lazy and unhelpful.
