I watched the one with Mick wallace and Cynthia niMurachu etal last week, the whole format is horrendous, basically a shouting over each other match, with everyone sitting together at the one desk.
They should have proper time to talk without interruption on a question for 20 seconds, then Mic turned off, the host follow up and another 20 seconds to rebutt, and then move on.
a “who shouts loudest” competition is pure waste of time.
Could you imagine the chaos of all 27 of them on stage. We could do it like the royal rumble where they enter every three minutes and the last five in the ring are declared MEPs
I imagine Virgin Media will do a better one, as per usual? RTE continuing to be a joke.
I saw Peter Casey on the week in politics debate talking about how he would appoint Junior ministers….. something that literally isn’t possible as an MEP. He also walked off the Katie hannon debate for 10 minutes. Such a waste of a spot giving him this exposure when other worthy candidates get excluded
Probably not a good thing to exclude people from it as they locally can use that to get political capital rather than sound like idiots on the tele.

Have them all on or none of them surely?
