Like how he just skips over the fact that Russia would have just used nukes, but makes nuclear threats every other day of the week.

That’s been NATOs position for a while now. If Russia were to use tactical nukes, then US and NATO will strike on Russian targets in the region.

1. you don’t have nukes.
2. France has nukes, so it decides on retaliation on behalf on EU, not Poland.
3. France will only use it’s nukes as a last resort — aka a world ending retaliation, if France and its allies are directly threatened by full nuclear annihilation.
France has nukes to destroy whomever tries to destroy France (France is EU, EU is France, there’s leeway in that). There is no other purpose to France’s nuclear arsenal but finishing a war, at the cost of everything.
Please stop thinking that nuclear weapons are negotiable, or manageable. They are not. They are planet killers. Please stop using them as threats, they negate all threats.

China and India are currently the only two nuclear powers to formally maintain a no first use policy. So if Russia fires a Nuclear weapon. They will have to deal with China and India also.
This has been well known for some time now.
Russia is just grand standing at this point with their drills. They are not going to use nukes in Ukraine, because they know that it will make them look weak (requiring the use of nukes is basically admitting defeat on the ground), and as the russians said themselves, it would trigger a larger war… something that russia cannot afford right now, even if they had the backing of China, which I doubt would get involved (at least in the beginning).
Why stop with Russian targets in Ukraine? Strike Moscow and keep going until Putler eliminated and Russia becomes a past tense country
People don’t understand, the world war has already started. We (much of the western world) just are not active combatants yet. The average American in particular fails to understand that while you may desire not to be in a war, the enemy has a vote and may have already made the choice for you. The war isn’t coming, it’s already here; and the choices we make today will decide how easy or how hard tomorrow will be.
Yes, this isn’t a surprise in the least. This has been our policy for decades. Russia already knows this, which is why they won’t be using any nuclear weapons.
No one ever wondered Putin is posturing about launching nuke is not because due to fear of retaliation from NATO and USA, but because he is afraid one or more may self detonate on him due to poor maintenance ?

What a soft response
America has now shown its more ready than ever to fight many conflicts at once. We are deeply involved in the European counter attack against the Russians invasion of Ukraine also deeply staged and ready to take on China in defense of Taiwan while at the same time keeping the Middle East in check. Russia stands no fucking chance except fire and forget meaning fire your nukes and forget you ever existed cause there would be nothing left of Russia to remember.
I believe this for no other reason that given everything else Russia has done they absolutely would have used a tactical nuke or two by now if they thought they could have gotten away with it.
