  1. At this moment in time, I view this as a move to put pressure on the German Chancellor to not be a spineless jellyfish.

Apart from that, it could get very interesting. The Poles really don’t like the Russians, and the Baltic States aren’t fond of them either.

A Polish led Battle group, properly supported and supplied with Baltic contigents attached, could tear a hole through the Russians lines and create a whole new ballgame.

  2. I mean it makes sense, if Russia annexes Ukraine and absorbs the remaining battle hardened Ukrainians into the “Russia military” through coercive means, it would probably give Belarus the confidence to join the conflict too, and we have Hungary essentially already hinting they’re going to play a reverse uno card and switch teams when it looks politically viable to do so.

Imagine the Russia population of 130 million combined with strategic access and resources and manpower from Ukraine + Belarus + Hungary + Kaliningrad etc.

The situation would look quite bleak for Poland and Baltic region.

Of course Finland and Sweden in NATO make isolation of the Baltics less likely and less successful of a strategy, but why take that risk and allow them to gather such power and forces when they’re already clearly making their imperial plans crystal clear to the world?

Z ideology must be defeated *in* Ukraine because that way we can minimize suffering in the world, and to achieve we must give Ukraine what it needs, without limits, to be successful in this war.

  3. I read it, all I saw was “blah blah blah.”

    Do it. now.

    call them contractors.

moscovia has thousands of contract soldiers from all over poor world, Ukraine can use contract soldiers also.

  4. Putin is a fool. He leads with his top card (nukes). He then throws in a pair (the elite troops and a lot of their arms).

“You really do not want to see what I have next!” he says.

It is a decent hand! Putin’s problem is he’s already played it.

I often think our side is bluffing to sucker him into situations. We let out a long breathe of air, shake our heads. Look concerned. Touch choices! “This is simply unthinkable!” someone will shout from the back.

Sooner or later the trap is going to spring. It will not be Ukraine who springs it. They will be on smiling duty.

  5. I hope the conditions are that Zelenskyy says “Pretty please, with sugar on top.”
