  1. What are the rules to such a race? Anything to stop you sitting on an oiled up plastic sheet?

  2. FYI it’s the women’s race + the men’s race but my crappy editing makes it look like the video loops

  3. I love the tradition of getting the local rugby team at the bottom to stop anyone going too far

  4. Looks great fun but I wonder how many are injured every year. Not sure I’d take the chance.

  5. I really can’t put into words how much I love this cheese racing shit

  6. “I understand from talking to Chris Anderson there are some stingy nettles on the right hand side there”

    Top commentary there 😂😂😂

  7. Dunno why, but this makes me achingly homesick for the UK. Such a magnificently eccentric tradition, perfect!

  8. The men’s race seems somewhat more high tempo and willing to risk injury than the women’s

  9. I slept funny and woke up with a bad neck, now I can’t move it much without pain.

I can’t imagine doing this willingly.

  10. That looks so much steeper than I’d always thought. Proper collarbone breaker.

  11. I’d just roly poly all the way down myself, seems safer and more fun.

  12. Can anyone explain how it’s a cheese race? I can see people lobbing cheese at the start but that seems to be the extent of the cheese.

  13. I do wonder why the people half-arsing it even bother other than to say they’ve done it (which is debatable.) The dude in red knew the assignment and executed it perfectly.

  14. Live at the bottom of the hill, moved here 7 years ago from Brighton, would love to give it a go but I’m 42 no chance state of my body ,in my 20s would have smashed it.

  15. Videos and pictures never do it justice, its fucking steeeeeep and longer than it looks.

  16. Any footage of the kids race when they run uk the hill?

  17. I’m a little disappointed. The lad won the race, lofted the cheese above his head like a little baby cheesus and tried to start a chant of “Cheese! Cheese! Cheese! Cheese!” And no one joined in! The games gone.

  18. May be me being 40 and they are probably in their 20s but some of them look so young!

Also my back hurts more watching it….
