New Caledonia = one of the larger island territories in the South Pacific.
France = glorious colonial overlords desperately hanging on to it because strategic bases and money.
New Caledonian independence movement = the people who have lived there for generations and have somehow formed the opinion that Pierre can fuck right off.
Armenia = getting its arse kicked by Azerbaijan but has suddenly found itself getting a shitload of help from France because reasons.
Azerbaijan = now deeply pissed off at Pierre so has started channeling money to the New Caledonian independence movement even though they have nothing in common with them because fuck you Pierre.
As of now = New Caledonian independence movement now flying the Azerbaijani flag all around New Caledonia.
Yea, well can’t say I’m against the indépendance movement, however Azerbaïdjan? They were litteraly committing a genocide on armenia

Interesting how much destabilizing efforts there are going on in the world right now. Not since the height of the cold war was it this bad.
Doesn’t help that thanks to cheap tech and social media, even the smallest players can have a huge impact on the world stage.

So many stupid french nationalists here. Those people doesn’t even understand that Kanaks are a minority next to the Caldoche (Caledonians from french descendant that migrated here before 2000). If the referendum doesn’t work it’s because of ONE thing that people do forget here, those white caledonians doesn’t want the independence but it’s not their territory. So yeah, white caledonians doesn’t want it but kanaks want it so they should have it it’s their soil. Also, letting people that live here for less than 10 years vite Kanaks will not have a single word to say about everything that could happen on their island.
