That’s really sad, I feel for his friend, a prank can go wrong for anyone.
Man, imagine how bad the guy who pushed him must feel. That’s a lifelong weighted guilt blanket right there

damn, that’s rough! I’d be bummed out too if a prank I pulled backfired. His friend is probably feeling pretty down, so it’s cool that you’re showing some compassion. Just remember, jokes can sometimes go south, so it’s important to consider the possible outcomes before you pull one off!!
This is why men die younger. Because other men get into this childish “one-upmanship” to try to show off
Don’t ever push people off anything as a prank ever. I remember reading a long time ago in Australia how someone thought it would be funny to push their friend off a wall they were sitting on and left them a paraplegic.
Then there’s this recent ongoing situation.

I thought alcohol wasn’t a defence in law. Why isn’t he charged with manslaughter?
Btw what the hell was this design of a 12 ft drop with a safety net? That sounds odd
Did the safety net not work as a safety net then?
It’s not clear to me what actually happened after the push?
Judge: …and how does the defendent plead?
Defendent: Your honour, bro, it was just a prank.
Judge, fist bumping defendent: Case dismissed bro
I remember when my mates pushed me down a hill in a shopping trolley.
>The court heard how Mr Groom, from Clacton-on-Sea, Essex had been on a Christmas work night out and drinking with friends on December 21, 2021 when they arrived at Topgolf.
>After being taken to a golf booth they started pushing or nudging each other so they’d fall on to a safety net.
>The group were told be staff to stop the prank and agreed that they would, but soon carried on.
>Topgolf have made a number of changes since Mr Groom’s death (Picture: Google Maps)
>Everyone who had fallen at that point had had been fine, but when one of Mr Groom’s friends ran up and pushed him, possibly a little harder than the others, he fell over the edge of the net.
Context makes the judgement a little more understandable, they were all being idiots pushing each other off and landing safely, incorrectly assumed the safety net made it completely safe, ignored warnings to stop, and then it went catastrophically wrong.
This stuff terrifies me, even more so now I’m a Dad. I’ve never accepted that sort of “fun” with my mates but it only takes one knob taking things too far in any group for a disaster to strike.
Such a shame
