These lads went down the same avenue most Irish who move there, you get a dodgy social security/tax id number so you can work, you the pay for forged osha cards to work in construction, you go down to Maryland or similar states to get your driving license. All this is very very normal to the Irish who have lived over there, including myself, these lads aren’t trying do anything dodgy but try and get their life’s set up there. God forbid OP ever took a chance living in another country to discover you need to jump through loopholes.
I’ve been seeing these vids in my youtube feed. Never knew there were so many Travellers in America. Also saw video of an entire family of Travellers hopping over the wall on the USA-Mexican border lmao.
Trying this in Yonkers was ridiculous.
Cops there aren’t going to fall for the “irish charm”.
They arrest enough irish lads in woodlawn to know the story.

In their defense, they’re right about being allowed to drive on a UK license in the US, and it’s not that unusual for people to buy a car on a long holiday in North America.
