  1. At this point, the Russian gov seems to have all the terror under control … Talibans can take a break.

  2. Thank God, now poor innocent Taliban will not be on the same list as violent terrorist groups like Anti-corruption foundation, LGBT, some reporter’s entire family, supporters of a popular governor Putin didn’t like, the entire Ukrainian army, and around 2-3 nonexistent organizations like “Anti-Russian Separatist movement”.

  3. I think sooner or later everyone will do this. They could at least keep things in check. Also they 100% have internal arrangements with the US.

  4. I mean, yeah, the Taliban now can’t be hardly a terror group. They are the goverment of Afghanistan AND they not have desire to bring Islam to the world, they just want to be left alone in Afganistan.

They won the war at the end of the day.

  5. Why is that bad. Or is only almighty usa allowed to make negotiations with them?

  6. May as well, they are already a terrorist state, so join the fold.

  7. The Afghan Taliban situations are a bit tricky.

While the US doesn’t officially recognize the Afghan Taliban, they removed the Taliban from the baddies list too. And the US does conduct diplomatic talks with them too, while stressing that the talks “any kind of indication of recognition or any kind of indication of normalization or legitimacy of the Taliban”

  8. Sounds like Moscow needs to streamline its supply of heroin and kalashnikovs to its troops at the front.

  9. there is no reason to treat terrorists like terrorists while you do the same

  10. This isn’t as crazy as people think. Trump made the deal with the Taliban out of the UAE… You know, the same UAE that funds Wagner in Africa.

  11. are the taliban still an issue internationally or are they too busy solidifying their control in afghanistan?

  12. Shouldn’t be rude to your colleagues, after all.

  13. Why does it feel like they’re like: hmmm who are the worst villains around the world… let’s call them.

  14. Russia really needs a revolution from within -_-

Must suck to live under this regime and there’s nothing you can do without immediatly getting arrested, beaten and your family in trouble…

  15. Disclaimer: I’m not a troll, serious question:

So Taliban terrorists became main governing power in whole Afghanistan and we saw that there wasn’t much of resistance from local population during the final days of siege.

If we are concerned with their practices and wish Afghanistan to reform into to a prosperous and at least hybrid democracy, will ostracizing help to reach this target?

What I mean is that maybe we as the world are concerned, should we propose a plan for them a-la “we can do business with you, but you must move forward and comply with UN code”?

I know I sound like a sweet summer child, but Americans were unable to fix it via force cooperating with local government, so maybe instead we can direct them with soft power?

I disagree with Russian govt decision, they should have demanded for security of basic human rights at least before even considering to agree on removing them from terrorist list, but hey it’s Russian govt, they will not think about human rights in a foreseeable future.

  16. TIL terrorist organizations have lists of other terrorists organizations.

  17. This is just accepting reality, honestly. The Taliban are the government of Afghanistan, whether we like it or not. They won, we lost.

  18. Oh God!

Does this mean that the Russians closed an arms supply deal with the Taliban?

  19. Whatever you think of them, they are currently in control of Afghanistan. Judging by the fact that 2 TRILLION dollars over almost 20 years led to them controlling all of Afghanistan, they are there to stay I am afraid. Love them or hate them. Eventually, countries will have to come to terms with this, much like the U.S. eventually had to come to terms with the fact that the Vietcong controls all of Vietnam, and establishing diplomatic relations with them in 1995.
