Jude Bellingham on his season: “I think first half was more goals, second half not as many goals. I think the outside world view a lot on the numbers and goals but I actually think that I have improved more, I have been lot more involved in other parts of the game and assisted more goals..”

  1. “outwise world view”

We all know he means England because suddenly people started comparing his G/A to forwards like Foden/ Palmers.

  2. I totally agree.

When he was scoring weekly last year I already said that I was impressed with his ability to find in the right positions to score considering that he is not a number 9, but I also said that goals aside I wasn’t particularly impressed with his performance during the rest of the game. Obviously I was downvoted every time I said that because goals make people analysis blind.

Now the man said it himself: in the second half he scored way less, but he contributed much more on those 89 or 90 minutes he didn’t score.

As it always happens goals make people either overrate or underrate players performance.

  3. This shitty stat fixation swapped over from the nba to european football. There is much more to football than only scoring goals ffs

  4. We all know EPL pundits only occasionally see teams abroad during continental games and never any other time.
