Scotsman Lamont Young remembered 100 years later

Lamont Young was an important and brilliant architect from Naples, so much so that post-mortem we “naturalized” him, also because while alive he never took Italian citizenship; he was born here to a Scottish family who had emigrated at a time when there must have been a fairly large community here in the city.

    There was even a church in the town for the Scottish community which still exists.
