  1. I had a leaflet pushed through my door the other day from a guy advertising his services. Gutter cleaning and CAD.

  2. I absolutely love this, and tell everyone I can when I talk about what I saw in Las Vegas… in the middle of no where was a simple restaurant named ‘Donuts & Chinese’… yes, that is right, donuts is first in the name of the restaurant (if you can call it that).

    I did not venture in.

  3. There was a Chippy/Tanning salon in my local town, though it closed its doors during covid. There wasn’t much separation between the chippy part and the tanning part either.

  4. Not sure if it’s still the same, but there’s a Subway in Hulme, Manchester that has a Post Office in it. Or it could be vice versa.

  5. We had a hairdresser slash computer shop in our little town about ten years ago. Didn’t do very well

  6. Pizza Chinese takeaway and laundry all in the same.

  7. There is a bakery and umbrella shop somewhere in London.

  8. We’ve got a few shops where I live with a Greggs/Subway inside

  9. My husband is Filipino. His home town has a bakery that also does tax returns and circumcision. From what I understand, the tax returns part of the business is wildly unsuccessful.

  10. In Blackpool I saw a place that does tattoos and hot dogs

  11. I once parked next to a sign-written van advertising archery and first aid courses.

  12. When I was in the Blue Mountains in Sydney there was a book shop that turned into a Thai restaurant in the evenings.

  13. There’s a fireworks shop that I went to outside Barry (I think, possibly outside Cardiff), that was also a dog groomer.

  14. In Spain I saw a hardware store that had a fresh fruit and veg section

  15. Harmony Ventures Ltd. Barbers. Nails. Sea and air cargo. Deptford.

  16. I used to visit a customer site just off the Old Kent Road in London and was amazed by what appeared to be barbers/dvd rental store in the same front!

  17. I remember the “talk and walk” shop from North London where you could buy phones and shoes, not sure if it’s still around

  18. I’ve been going to a tattoo removal place that shares its location with a hair salon. Definitely a weirder one I’ve experienced.

  19. There used to be a shop in Plymouth called Flowers & Videos.

  20. I was working in Nottingham about 5/6 years ago and the digs that we were staying was near a shop simply called “Booze and Veg”

  21. I have a place near me that specialises in wheatless desserts and phone repair.

  22. When I lived in Leeds in the 90s, there was an electrical goods and swimming costumes shop in the Merrion Centre

  23. In Leicester back in my Uni days there was a fish and chip shop that was bought by new owners, who also bought the bar next door. They knocked through the wall and made it into one business. Both were open late and the bar was pretty glam, you could be dancing to deep house, drinking brandy and Coke, and if you got peckish you could grab a chippy.

  24. There’s an American candy store down the road from me that sells, you guessed it… Drugs!

  25. In Cannock there was a place that sold fireworks and hydroponic supplies, not sure if it’s still there tho
