She’s my local mp. I moved into this constituency 2 years ago and can’t wait to vote her out. She’s in with a chance though as the lib Labour vote may split equally.
Young people welcome severe diarrhoea , it’s a chance to lose weight and have some extra time to yourself, please don’t mention the death by dehydration bit, we will tell them that later.
Wanna go to the military? Go sign up. Want to “volunteer” actually go volunteer.
The young people that are already too old to be forced into National Service, no doubt?
Why doesn’t the Tory MP volunteer for national service?

I’ll be old enough to vote the week before the election. Can’t speak for all my age but no way do any of us want actual national service. If you wanted to be in the forces, you can join from 16. Can’t say I’m fully opposed to the volunteering as I understand the sentiment behind wanting to do something to improve the concerned services, but unless it’s accompanied by increased funding to properly utilise new volunteers then it’s a wasted exercise. More likely it’s just electioneering.
Also, doesn’t being forced to “volunteer” kinda make it not volunteering since, you know, it’s not voluntary?
I love how the Tories have produced this diffuse billowing shit-fog over the last 15 years, which is so all-encompassing, it’s almost disorienting and difficult to pinpoint definitively what has been so bad. -But then they come up with National Service and we have something fresh and clear that we can coalesce around to hate them all over again.
