7. Artillery and air defenses must be supported by troop ahead of them. If the opposing side gets close to them. They literally can't defend attacks by themselvs. So if Nato supplies them with artillery and air defenses.. Those units will be literally at the front line. They have to be far away from the front line in order to be effective. But Ukraine is losing ground each day , another village… city falls and many KM of ground given up soon there will be none left
