I found a wesel paw (aka Automarder) in my engine bay. I removed that paw and put a package of toilet cleaner balls (WC Frisch Aktiv as in the image) right there where the paw was located (orange circle in picture). I suppose that location is always cool, at least not as hot as the turbo or the engine surface, so that the toilet cleaner won't catch fire. However i still wanna if anyone has done this before or is it a dangerous idea to have the toilet balls hidden there?

Doubt that it will cause issues. But you always can check after a short ride if there is some melting.
Did you put it there because of the smell? Because I feel that weasel won’t be an issue for you anymore.
