Eurobros, what are we going to do without Georgia? 😔
gotta say, watching your country get sold out and delivered to russia live by people sitting in a building 100 meters from you is kind of a surreal feeling.
Good bye Georgia ! We won’t see you anytime soon in the European Union.
Where I live Parliament can’t override Presidential veto unless due to time, 1 year. Then Parliament has to send “it up again”. Strange AF.
Well, president should not have the power to veto whatever he/she wants in a democratic country.
So, what’s the problem with having to disclose that an NGO is working on behalf of a foreign government? Seems like every country that wants to have some semblance of sovereignty should have this law.
Goodbye Europe, Hello Russia.
🙁
Expected, but still very sad to see.
No country would allow [this](https://www.thenation.com/article/world/georgia-dream-protests-ngo-color-revolution/) to go on, just saying
>With the UNM’s electoral prospects looking dim, civil society groups and the country’s vast network of some **10,000 NGOs** have become the de facto centers of opposition. Unlike the voluntary sectors in the US, the UK, and Europe, which are sustained by domestic philanthropy and volunteers, **almost 90 percent of Georgia’s NGOs are foreign funded, according to recent estimates; in fact, most receive no domestic funding at all.**
So this law is essentially a ban on foreign NGOs? Or does it only require them to name the countries where they draw funding from?
Congratulations to Georgia.
Asserting national interests and not being used as cannon fodder for American strategic interests against Russia is a good thing.
Don’t give up on us. The national protest is only growing momentum and can still change the government this October. They can’t rig the elections if the margins are devastating.
They are learning from the best (neighbors to the south, north and west)😂
I assume young Russian YouTubers living in Georgia will have to move now?
Civil War time folks.
