NATO should declare a simple formula that can be easily understood by Putin. For example, since Russia has reach Kharkiv 30 km from border, then Ukraine must be allowed to use Western weapons to strike anything in Russia within 30 km behind border.
By directing Ukraine on what they can and can not hit in Russia, you are basically involving yourself in the decision making process and therefore actively involving yourself in the conflict.
It would make more sense from a non-escalation standpoint to give the weapons, throw your hands up and go “do with it what you want” rather than being directly involved in the targeting chain of command
But anyway fuck logic right, let’s just make things as complicated as possible for Ukraine!
