    After that the priest had to flee the city because was going to be lynched by the population.

  8. There were very few witch hunt victims in Ireland, and most weren’t executed.

    Alice Kyteler and her maid Petronilla de Meath is the most famous witchcraft case in Ireland but was almost certainly financially motivated and not a result of sincere beliefs in witchcraft

  16. This was probably prompted by the forest witches in their gingerbread houses eating German children who do not follow the designated footpath. The trials are one of many precautions to protect the children.
