2. So anyone with military experience explain the pro and con of this and why everyone is so conflicted with this?

3. They’ve been weighing this for over 2 years now. At some point it would be great if any of the nato nations got off their asses and did what’s necessary to win the war and not just drag it out indefinitely with trickled half assed aid packages with restrictions.

4. Seriously. Why are we just farting around with the ruZZians instead of doing ALL we can short of face to facing them? It would be so easy to shut Putler up for whatever brief period remains of his regime and put a permanent end to their aggression. Grow a fucking spine and finish this before it gets worse.

6. The crux is everyone is realizing we can either stop Russia in Ukraine or Ukraine can fall and Russia will be threatening the next domino (Transnistria?). Every delay empowers Russia and causes more pain and fallout for the free world.

12. The US had no authority to execute this in foreign lands. If they establish a no fly zone, Russia are under no obligation to obey it, in the same way the US is under no obligation to obey a “no fly zone” created by Russia in Ukraine. It would be like Russia going to Mexico and creating a no fly zone, which is obviously absurd

13. This could effectively allow western F-16 pilots to operate in Ukraine without the Russians knowing the difference. At that point it is essentially a hot war between NATO and Russia anyway from the Russian perspective, Thus why the US/Germany will never back it, nor is it likely to happen.

14. We should have done this originally. Instead of drag our feet. Let’s do it now and rip the band aid off. We need to make these hard decisions now so it’s not harder later.

16. This would drag NATO into a direct war. Enforcing a no-fly-zone means firing on any Russian aircraft that violates the no-fly-zone.

17. And how could they ensure or guarantee or promise that this would not escalate into an all-out NATO-Russia war?

    So only western Ukraine. While that’s a start, it should be established over the entire Ukraine. Including Donbas, Luhansk, Mariupol, Crimea
