39 dead, 600 injured. Liverpool fans arrived without tickets and kicked parts of the stadium down to gain entry, they then attacked the fans in the neutral section of the dilapidated stadium. While trying to escape, a wall collapsed on them. 14 Liverpool fans were found guilty of manslaughter and English clubs given an indefinite ban from European football. Unbelievably the match was played in spite of the death and suffering of innocent fans who were trying to escape the Liverpool fans attacking them. A day that should bring shame to those involved in the deaths of innocents. Tragic indeed.
