Covid in Scotland: Restrictions impact ‘worth it’, says Sturgeon

  1. Of course she’d say that. I think her cautious approach turned out right in the pre vaccine world, but this time with omicron Boris was correct. But of course it’s hard to predict how things will evolve so not blaming her much.

  2. She’s hardly likely to say otherwise. But realistically….. where’s the evidence? Scotland was hit harder than England by Omicron so what is she basing that on?

  3. There was literally 0 evidence to suggest we needed to restrict our lives in the way Sturgeon did, so she’s full of it.

The omicron epicenter, South Africa, was weeks ahead of us, so we already had weeks of data to see how it took hold in SA, and we KNEW already that it did not appear to be a majorly problematic variant.
