  1. > New Euronews analysis, based on data issued by major online ad providers, shows which ones are paying most to secure your vote before pan-European polls in June.

    > Just looking at Google activity in the last 30 days, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán splurged north of €60,000 on one ad.
    >
    > That garnered him over 10 million views in just 11 days – more than Hungary’s population, though some may have seen it twice. [This party doesn’t really surprise me tbh]
    >
    > **Vlaams Belang’s Tom Van Grieken promises voters less immigration and more purchasing power**, in an ad on which the Flemish separatist party spent between €50,000 and €60,000.
    >
    > While lower-budget, a sponsored post from **Spain’s Vox – claiming that 80% of arrests in Barcelona are of foreigners** – has also scored over 10 million views.

  2. So what exactly is the problem here?
Other parties do not campaign on social media as well ?

  3. Omg the horror! Ads from parties that are not left wing! Ban them immediately. Just say it’s disinformation and ban all different opinions.

  4. uh, idk, i have only seen BNG (Galician Nationalist Party, pretty leftist) ads on Twitter/X.

  5. I literally just had a YouTube ad of a politician from SP (junior party working w/ PiS) campaigning to enter European Parliament.

His basis for running? The EU introduced the bottle caps directive and he still opposes it.

  6. What I find particularly interesting is that at least here in the Czech republic, the pro-ruzzian parties’ ads seem to vastly outnumber those of other parties. What’s even more interesting is that there are parties that were formed only a year ago and thus don’t have their campaigns subsidized by the state afaik, and yet somehow, their ads are some of the most frequent ones. I wonder where all that money came from.

  7. Let me guess, wealthy Russian donors pay for these campaigns?

  8. I am Swedish and on the left and the only political ads I ever get is from the far right Sweden democrats party.

  9. Hahhaha look at all the gremlins on this thread, suck it farm trolls.

Can’t wait for the day Putin gets the Ceausescu treatment.

  10. Dear members of r/europe

Stop simping for or downplaying the far-right

Doing so also indirectly supports Russia and goes against those European values you claim to support against those “islamists”

May I also remind you that the AFD had a Wannassee conference 2 a few months ago?

Or that the German Security Services labled it as a “suspicous entity” and that it was “advocating an anti-constitutional ethnic concept, which the agency considers incompatible with human dignity as guaranteed by the German Basic Law”

  11. Such a shame that Reddit is my only social media account and the browser version has zero ads

  12. /r/europe far-right propaganda ads talking points (and their real meaning)

    – Other parties are not talking about The People’s Concerns (about Outsiders Doing Bad Things)

    – It’s a consequence of All The Bad Things The Establishment Did (allowing Outsiders to Exist within our continent)

    – If only other parties would listen to The People (by adopting far-right policies)

    – Europe is for Europeans (who look a certain kind of way)

    – People are tired (of reading about catastrophe after catastrophe in their algorithm, even though it’s the media they interact with the most)

I have 0 sympathy for this crowd, if any of them are on this thread, yall are walking, talking ads for the far-right. You parrot the talking points of the worst people on the planet and have the GALL to point the finger at others. You deserve far-right governments.

For everyone else, go vote. Don’t stay home, even if the parties you usually vote for don’t align 100% with what you believe.
