Hey all! I’m a fairly new foreigner to this land and unfortunately contrary to my best efforts I got COVID recently.. I’m set to miss some work with this because they want me to test negative before coming back into work. This is even though I can’t find state recommendations that say anything other than six days after infections without fever you’re good to end isolation and presumably return to work.
Having said that, I totally get that my work does not want me coming in and infecting everyone in sight. But I keep testing positive with home tests even though I feel fine and my six days are now up. I’m seeing through [Altinn.no](https://Altinn.no) that there are rules in place for paid sick leave in cases such as these. My work shouldn’t seem to care so much as it apparently is reimbursed by the government but I’m only a part-time worker and under contract for only a few months. Am I at all qualified to get this until I receive a negative test?
I’d personally be fine to go into work no problem but yeah current status of things makes that obviously difficult. Only thing is a newish foreigner I really need the income.. :/
Does anyone know if these rules apply to part time and contract workers?
Here’s where I found the Altinn info… [https://www.altinn.no/en/start-and-run-business/working-conditions/print-sickness-and-leaves-of-absence/absence-due-to-illness-and-sick-pay/](https://www.altinn.no/en/start-and-run-business/working-conditions/print-sickness-and-leaves-of-absence/absence-due-to-illness-and-sick-pay/)

You have “egenmeldingsdager” which anyone and everyone employed may use, it is really and unlimited amount of sick days. If your employer asks for a doctors note you will need to get one, if not you may loose the privelage
