Kids holding a paper asking people to “support” their local club with cash. They have been doing it since lockdown was lifted. Seems like scam and just trying to get as much money for themselves/gang who recruited them.

Local traveller boys around mine did this once. They claimed it was for a boxing match and they were looking for donations to help with costs i guess. All the names on his clipboard of others who “donated” looked like they were written by the same person.
Are they making a specific claim on what the money will be used on? This feels more like straight-forward begging rather than an actual scam.
Call social services, Oliver has run away again.
I’ve been stopped by these kids several times to raise money for their “boxing club” in Canary Wharf, including months apart. Never give money to strangers on the street, rules for life 101. This is much more organised and widespread than I thought, fascinating. I will definitely interrogate them and do a background check the next time one of them stops me.
