   Irresponsible reporting! Scientists are not expecting the ice to “be gone within a few decades.” What is expected to occur within a few decades is the retreat of the grounding line into a deep subglacial basin, which would accelerate ice loss. This article should be corrected. It’s dangerous misinformation otherwise.

2. hopefully the extra water will solve all of the drought issues going on around the world

3. Oh look, it’s another environmental disaster happening Faster than Expected (TM).

   You’d almost think we were better at expecting things by now. Certainly we are just bad at predictions, and there is no political motive for all these predictions being way too optimistic.

   Let’s just keep using linear models for all this exponentially hastening destruction. Surely we won’t be caught off-guard next time that a climate doomsday seal breaks next week.
