  1. “there was nothing stopping a male from applying for a gender change at the age of 17 to avoid military conscription. “At 30, you go back and change your name to man and that’s it,” wrote one user, all for the cost of 150 Swiss francs.”

Yeah, get a woman’s salary for 13 years and see how smart an idea it is.

  2. Was obvious that this will happen, congrats to this guy on having his 15 minutes of fame and a few years of having to explain everywhere why there‘s a Female Marker in all his legal documents. Wonder if that‘s worth it?

By the way: The problem isn‘t that sex changes are easy (they should be!) – the problem is that there‘s still differences between M and F regarding AHV/employment/military etc. IMO it‘s troubling that the media (and people here on reddit – see the top comment of this thread) act like this some kind of „woke identity politics“ issue and put the burden for this mess on Transgender folk.

  3. Wow, doing that during the years 17 to 30 would have saved me a lot of hassle with the military.

I hope this shines a light on how idiotic some of our discriminatory laws are.

  4. Good for men, bad for woman. Now females will be drafted to Military, retire the same age as males and will not get benefits for pregnancy anymore.
