[Tot Costa] FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta’s main advisor, Alejandro Echevarría, in order to create unrest in the dressing room, leaked to the players a document that was presented to the board, listing the players that Xavi wanted to be sold, according to the entourage of Xavi.

  1. These fat guys are running my club like it’s the fucking mob wtf

  2. Why can’t we have a normal president and board that don’t do stupid stuff on a weekly basis?

  3. Just hire a camera crew to follow all this drama, charge to watch and I promise we’ll be outspending City, PSG and Madrid next summer

  4. Not surprised one bit about this sadly.

Anyone interested what players it is about:

    – Lewandowski

    – Félix

    – Cancelo

    – Vitor

    – Romeo

    – Alonso

Aside from Roque it is a sensible list tbh.

  5. Yeah we are gonna need a new president, said the same thing back when it was leaked that we spent money on journalists flaming our players in the newspapers.

  6. This sub is full of spanish press bullshit all day ever yday, why are 90% of the posters in this thread assuming this is true ?

  7. Is this what Laporta meant when he said he only does what is best for the club, and how it is so hard to be a president? I pray he gets voted out, what a snake.

  8. Wow, they doing this to make Xavi look bad. A true circus club.

  9. What Tier is this, the auto-Tier sticky didn’t seem to work since he’s not likely even in Tier hierarchy.

Trust Nothing from media, unless it’s a direct public quote from the person involved.

  10. There’s going to be mud slinging on both sides so take this stuff with skepticism.

I have a feeling if there was a list that Xavi drew up it wouldn’t be just guys like Romeu or Lewa but perhaps fan favorites that would sting.

Either way both sides are going to leak all sorts of stuff to take heat off each other.

Doesn’t help Laporta fucked up by begging him to stay. Dude should have let him walk.

  11. Sounds like Xavi wanted to get rid of star names (Felix, Lewa) and a big signing (Roque).

Sounds like the board prefer to keep star names (buzz, revenue) and don’t want to throw away the shiny new Brazilian.

To stop the squad from rebelling at his sacking, they revealed these names to the squad to get the players on their side.

As tit for tat, a player who likes Xavi or a staff member has leaked this.

All dirty tactics, but not irrational.

  12. Is this a reliable source?

Also if it is true – “in order to create unrest in the dressing room” – that reason alone should disqualify anyone from any managing position in the club.

  13. I loved this club for the football primarily. I hate this political nonsense and drama that makes me question loyalty. Treating Xavi and Messi this way is shameful.

  14. Barcagate round 2. This club just can’t help itself with its toxic relationship with the media. Literally everything that can get leaked, does and as always its to the detriment of the club
