A rare example of prices, inflation adjusted, actually being much cheaper in “the old days” for my calculations for a pint of beer at least. About £1.50 for a pint right?
When people post old shopping lists it’s amazing how many items are actually much cheaper nowadays with inflation taken into account.
Electronic goods are insane – a colour TV in the mid 70s was about £300, that’s a median value. That’s £2,250 today.
Oranjeboom! Wow
Interesting they’ve got a specific price for a mixed. I haven’t seen anyone order one of those in a long time.
Mackesons stout, double diamond and skol – remember those viking adverts
More expensive in the Smoke Room.
Our local had a Public bar, a Lounge Bar (with soft seats), and a tap room with Dart Board.
Write the date US style and it’s 6/9/69.
I’ll have eleven pints of Mild Ale please. Keep the change.
