  1. A tragic story of bankruptcy and destitution. Go Yankees!

  2. Calling an ambulance after someone went unconscious is 100% the thing to do. Where I live (Switzerland), accident insurance would pay the medical services directly, and not a Swiss Franc would be out of my pocket.

  3. this is why i’ll defend the NHS with my life, it has its problems but its better than that

  4. >My neighbor called an ambulance before I could say no

    Oh my sides

  5. Long live europe where I don’t have to spend three years’ worth of salary for a surgery and I can simply get it

  6. It’s true, though.

I literally cannot comprehend how the self proclaimed leader of the free world can have a worse public health care system than some of the worst dictatorships.

  7. The question is, how the fuck you knock yourself unconscious while taking the keys?

  8. Love the video of an american that had to fight off ambulance workers trying to load him into an ambulance and escapes like someone was trying to kill him.

“Sir, you are being rescued. Please do not resist!”

    “NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!”

  9. I mean even in America, how are you liable if someone else calls and ambulance and they kidnap you to a hospital while unconscious.

How can you be charged for a service you never asked for? It’s like some random guy calling a pizza to your door and then being charged because well the pizza is already there???

Not my problem leave me alone.

  10. Its always so weird to hear them complain about this when I can just go to the hospital and get myself fixed

  11. How can America be the land of the free if:

    -Ambulance rides can bankrupt you
-Not in the top 15 most free/democratic countries
-You have to be 21 to even stand near a bar

  12. And how has that (strange) story have anything to do with Europe?

  13. This is me at work every time I injure myself 😂 “DO NOT CALL AN AMBULANCE, IT’S €400 AND I DON’T HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE!”

  14. My friends from Canada affectionately know me as the guy who fought his way out of taking an ambulance not once, but twice in my teenage years.

    “Affectionately”

    Luckily, I don’t have to worry about that anymore since my union fights for good healthcare coverage. Gotta take the small wins where you can. ;_;

  15. Calling an ambulance for someone in the US is like casting a curse on them that gives debt.
