Horrible news. I climb a lot and anytime I hear someone’s been missing for more than 24 hrs it’s never good news.
Ah this isn’t the outcome I was hoping for this morning. Perhaps that was just me being naive.
Father and son as well. Awful.
Terrible news
This is heartbreaking
Very sad.
I just was there a few weeks ago, even on the same parking lot. Such tragedy.
Och thats just too sad, I only read about them being missing earlier this morning too. I think many underestimate the weather and conditions at this time of year. Devastating for their friends and family.
Oh no. Heartbreaking.
Absolutely heartbreaking.
People don’t give our mountains enough respect. Yes they’re not Everest but one bad patch of weather and it can be game over. There’s no such thing as being too safe.
It’s such a shame this, and I don’t want to be insensitive but what would be the reason for being found dead in a scenario like this ? Weren’t they lost for 24hrs ? Would it be freezing to death during the night ? Or a fall ?
Edited to add. even if a fall, unlikely both would have the same fall. So probably not the reason.
Aw that’s so sad, I saw this last night I just assumed they would have spent a miserable night out and be found this morning.
Tragic
Ah, that’s just utterly tragic. I was really hoping that they’d be found safe and well. I was just advising some friends, that are coming to visit Scotland to do some climbing in a few weeks, that they shouldn’t underestimate the conditions that they could encounter while climbing here. Even experienced climbers can be caught out.
