Why wouldn’t we go for Griezmann? Isn’t he the exact technicality, work ethic and experience we’re looking for in the midfield?

  2. He’s publicly said he doesn’t plan on leaving Atletico and that they’ll be his last club in Europe. Simeone also said he doesn’t want to sell him and that’s he a key player.

    Anyone activating the release clause will get told to go away and he’ll probably leave for free to play in the MLS when his contract is finished.

  3. Because the more likely scenario is Griezzou telling you to pay the release clause just to sign another contract at Atleti right after. He shouldn’t even have left for Barca a few years ago, he’s a colchonero through and through.

    – he said it was his last club in Europe

    – he publicly said he doesn’t like PSG

    – I’m 50% positive he said he was for OM

  8. I’d guess he’ll end up at Inter Miami or very likely LAFC considering the French contingent already there (Giroud, Lloris, Bouanga, & Chanot).
