Does Wales really exist?

  1. No. They were already English before the Union flag was created. Shame though. Would love a dragon in the middle

  2. It would be unfitting to combine our superior flag with their cut’n’shut flag.

You wouldn’t mix your diamonds with the cubic zirconias

  3. The Union Flag is a combination of the flags of the Kingdoms of England, Scotland and Ireland. Wales isn’t a kingdom.

  4. Wales is just a region of England and I will fight anyone who says otherwise

  5. Lloyd George expressed discontent with this state of affairs, but even he didn’t do anything about it

  6. Put Saint George slaying the dragon in the middle to appease the Welsh

  7. I just learned that the NI diagonal bars are not centered. Completely hateful.

  8. Alternatively, a big *Ddraig Goch* on a red and blue field. Everything is Wales now.

  9. I refuse to acknowledge the existence of Wales until they get whales, we had the decency to get castles.

  10. All these people saying to add a dragon, honestly I think it would make it look worse

  11. The English dragon is a white dragon and often fought with the Welsh Dragon. A flag showing both dragons fighting would be pretty awesome.

  12. A Dragon in the middle of the Union Jack would be badass

  13. We’ve already got the best flag in Europe. Adding a dragon would solidify that honestly.

  14. Common misconception. Wales exists because England exists.

  15. Apparently they had a referendum on this in Wales at one point and we all decided that the dragon was cool and we didn’t want to share it. We actually only got the dragon in the 1959! Before then we had something akin to what you might to see as the emblem of your local boules club.

  16. Wales is just a myth, it doesn’t exist, it can’t hurt you!

  17. Northern Irish people claim to be represented by 100% of it.

  18. Those aren’t actually lines, that is just a bunch of Wales’ dragon put on top of each other creating the illusion of straight lines.

  19. The white in the flag symbolises the sheep that the welsh shag.

  20. Now … where did I hear that outcry recently …

    “Does <insert country> really exist” ?

But dont fret as I guess it is time to gear up and saddle ye olde war horse once more.

This will however pose a challenge as landmarks and city names are out-of-this-world:

  21. The dragon would look cool on it but the current flag is too iconic and it might inspire the other countries to finally drop the union jack from their flag.
