A record breaking month! May 2024 has yielded new monthly records in losses of both personnel, artillery, vehicles and UAVs.
With respect to personnel the previous daily record of 1380 lost men (oct 23) is now reduced to a tie for 9th highest with all other entries in the top 10 now being from may 24.
So many meat cubes. Tank cubes as well!

On the front lines, the activity of the Russian army remains unchanged.
– On the Kharkiv front, the Russian army continues to pressure the areas of Lyptsi and Vovchansk, but the intensity of the attacks has decreased and there is no progress.
– In the Svatove and Severodonetsk regions, the Russian army continues aggressive attacks towards the city of Kupiansk, but without success. The activity of attacks towards Lomani has decreased, and the situation remains unchanged. On the Siversk front, the aggressor’s activity remains the same, but without success.
– Battles continue on the eastern edge of Chasiv Yar city and south of Bahmut in the villages of Klishchiivka and Andriivka. Ukrainian forces have managed to hold their positions.
– In the Donetsk region, the activity of the Russian forces is the highest, and the current main direction of the Russian army’s attack is northeast from Avdiivka towards the settlement of Pokrovske. Russian units are also relatively active in attacks west and southwest of Donetsk, but there are no changes in the front line. A precise missile strike hit a building in occupied Donetsk yesterday. It remains a mystery who was targeted.
– On the southern front, Russian unit activity was lower. The main attacks occurred in the area of Staromayorske.
I have just realised that MLRS losses have been very low for a while now. Did russia run out of these?
