For those unaware, Fonds Kirchberg is responsible for the development of Kirchberg. Their missing is:
> Actuellement, la volonté politique prévoit de donner la priorité à la création de logements, et plus précisément à la création de logement abordable (commercialisé à un prix inférieur à celui du marché).
At the moment, political agendas foresee prioritizing building housing, **more precisely affordable housing (sold at a price lower than that of the market).**
Their latest hit is Kiem 2050, where they’re asking for 10k / sqkm at 3% VAT and where they’ve recently had to ask for another round of candidates because they probably can’t meet their sales quota.
The article also mentions that the significant increase was, in large part, owed to the sale of the Kronos building.
Quite frankly I don’t see the issue given that the fund is ultimately a public authority and has the duty to develop Kirchberg (including building access roads and so on) so benefit from a commercial real estate sale flowing back to them is IMO helpful to enable the fund to develop Kirchberg for residents
Also, hate to rain on your parade, but Kiem 2050 is a project from SNHBM which will lease land from the fund
