  1. No paywall: [https://archive.ph/MTS2W](https://archive.ph/MTS2W)

Though somewhat lengthy, these are proving to be better at summarizing their respective topic and presenting a cogent argument than most anything I’ve seen in a while.

  2. I would be surprised Ukraine would lose at this point. I’m feeling pretty good about other country forces coming into the fight before that happens.

  3. I’m assuming 35 million refugees would move west into nato space this would cause chaos in itself probably an undeniable situation for Central Europe

  4. “the worst genocide on European soil since the Holocaust is almost guaranteed.”

Phew, was thinking the author was ignorant as hell from the post’s title.

  5. Sometimes, I wonder whether Biden, Macron, Scholz, etc’s blood boils the way mine does when I read shit like this.

I get that there are considerations to be made (not least, the fact that the aggressor in this war has nukes), but you really have to be stone cold or a little out of touch to not understand just how bad things could get for the Ukrainian people should Putin prevail.

But that isn’t even the worst bit.

Maybe I’m weird, but what comes *after* – the loss of credibility on the international stage, the nuclear proliferation, the acts of aggression of the strong nations against the weaker ones because open season, etc. – should scare anyone whose country has benefited from the years of peace and globalization into resolute action.

But what do I know, right? I’m just some guy on the internet who can fire up Wikipedia to read up on history and, in particular, the hell Russians are capable of unleashing on others.

These guys have access to “intelligence” and “advisors” and can geopolitik.

Even if you don’t agree with the above, can we agree that the way this situation has been handled has been… could’ve been better?

For example, why was the US’s first instinct to offer Zelenskyy a ride?

God, I’m rambling. Fucking grinds my gears, though.

  6. “If” from a Brexit paper + Buzz words attraction whoring. No thank you. What if Putin dies from poisonning would be much more interesting.
