Is it legal to own a karambit in Finland?

1. Yes, legal to own but if cops find it in your pocket they know exactly what kind of person you are and what you deserve.

2. I have one, never even thought about it being “legal or illegal”. Its less dangerous than typical knife, so I’d guess you’re fine.

3. It’s legal to own one, but illegal to carry with you unless you have a good reason for carrying it. Since the knife doesn’t have many legitimate uses, better not carry it with you.

4. If you get frisked by a cop, they’ll be taking that away from you

5. I was told to put mine away when carrying it on public. It was made out of wood.

   You can own it in your home, but don’t take it outside.

6. You should rather ask yourself, what kind of person would carry “karambit” with them and for what purpose.

8. I have about 50 different knives and often carry them with me. However, I have reasons to have them. I have a fully serrated Cold Steel Black Talon 2. This is an absolutely sick knife, and producers don’t even be shy to advertise it as a killing device. However, for me this is perfect for opening two objects: makkara plastic packages (and making great cuts on sausages), and carton boxes with goods.

   I will not list all my knives here. I was thinking about Karambit simply to have this in my collection. I ended up with an easy reason: useless. Often also a cheap shit.

   And something in your picture is not even sharp. So, this is not a knife.

   What is illegal to have are frontal [and] automated knives, and they are banned in many countries. However, this is an exaggeration, as they are not as dangerous as many politicians think and imagine.
