    You’ll get hundreds of articles like this year after year warning about the “far-right” and the “right-wing” as a more general term due to people legally voting for the AfD and the harmful yet isolated attacks like the one mentioned in the article.

    Yet, there was a thousand-man march for an Islamic caliphate in Hamburg not so long ago which has already been forgotten by the media, there have been numerous terrorist attacks by Islamists across Europe for the past decade and there have been numerous “grooming gangs” that have operated almost unchecked for the sake of not offending a specific religious group.

    These stories are never covered in such quantity. The willful ignorance is astounding.

  7. 8 years they keep warning about this. In that time there has been dozens of islamic extremists attacks and protests chanting pro hamas slogans and extremely antisemitic words. Dozens, maybe hundreds killed or injured.

    They don’t care about you or anyone else. This is political theatre.

  12. Lotta whattaboutism in here. Lots of “Nothing to see here! Look over there! Look over there!” I’m the opposite of an expert, but when everyone insists that we SHOULDN’T look at a problem because there’s this other problem (that just so happens to involve brown foreigners), I’m inclined to evoke the famous Spanish-language commercial / meme:

    Porque no los dos? (Translated: why not both?)

    Right-wing fascism is a worldwide problem. Pretending it isn’t (for example, excusing incidents as “isolated”) just makes you sound like a typical dishonest fascist, playing the “What? What am I doing? I’m not doing anything!” schoolroom game.

  14. Left wing politicians have been attacked numerous times in the last couple of months by right wing extremists and I wonder why that isn’t talked about more (compared to attacks by islamists like the one today that’s all over reddit).

  23. I’m tired of people trying to figure out where antisemitism fits into the political spectrum. I feel it’s a way for conservatives and liberals both to “not me” their way out of what is, to Jews, all the same Jew hatred.

  28. Primitives embolden primitives. The threat to democracy are the ideological degenerates who commit atrocities and the ruling democratic representatives who react to slowly. We will see far right violence and the religious fundamentalist sadism (like in Mannheim today) much more in the future due to lack of responce from the civilized society.
