Ukrainian Model Says She Plans To Sue Cannes Film Festival Over “Unreasonable”  Red Carpet Security

  1. Good for her. I’ve been messed around by security twice at the same venue it’s frustrating

These downvoting hive minds are so weird. Make it make sense

  2. If more than two people had an incident with the same usher, I’m gonna say the usher is the problem. Seeing as the red carpet walkers are not new to walking red carpet events. It is literally them out there doing their jobs! I found the usher to be incredibly rude and offensive in the way that she manhandled people.

  3. This is why the have allocated time on carpet – to avoid stunt queens like this. Only the people part of the film (stars & senior staff – ie directors etc) are given priority as they are promoting a film & not themselves. The staff at Cannes have done nothing wrong.

  4. I’m guessing tight security is better than so-called prankster Vitalii Sediuk arguably sexually assaulting America Ferrera or what tragically happened to Christina Grimmie or a shooting akin to Vegas shooting or The Manchester Arena bombing.

  5. I was a bit annoyed to find out that I was not allowed to walk the red carpet to the Emmy’s because that was reserved for “celebrities”. Really? I’m an Academy member, I voted for the awards and I paid for a ticket. Why did I basically have to enter through a side gate along with other filmmakers who were even nominated themselves while non-nominated “celebrities” get to enter through the front? I get that the press is there for the celebrities, but it contradicts the entire point of the evening: to honor the filmmakers and their achievements. Not just the celebrities.

So if security needs to move these celebrities along because they are clogging up the entrance by posing for photos, I’m all for it. Make room for the other people who worked on the films. Did Kelly Rowland or this Ukrainian model even work on any films at Cannes?

Of course, if there is racism involved and favoritism towards white celebrities, that’s awful. And physical assault, if it occurred, is definitely going too far.

  6. Good luck. Would be fun if the guard testified that model was about to assault other guest. Which is exactly what happened.
