5. Good, I’m sure French expertise will be a highly welcome addition to the military instruction from the UK, the USA, and elsewhere (Canada?) that has been going on within Ukraine since 2022.

   You know. By the instructors who have been there throughout the entire war. Without causing any of this much-feared “escalation.”

   France is merely stepping up and joining in what has already been going on. Like any good friend and ally of Ukraine. That is certainly moderately newsworthy but it is hardly some shocking new development.

6. Kinda weird to be an American who lived through the Iraq War era (when ordinary Americans unfairly slandered our French allies as cowards just because they had the sense to avoid a stupid war) and now see France’s bravery putting America to shame.
