This is what baffles me about arguments for first past the post.
People love to say that by losing FPTP that you lose local candidates, but the reality is that parties just tend to parachute their candidates into random seats anyway regardless of where they’re from. The same has happened for Swansea west too

This is commonplace with all political parties.
I’m in Wales. Fuck Labour, I’ll be voting Plaid Cymru 🏴
You can guarantee that these candidates won’t be seen in their constituencies if/when they win. It’s hard enough to get a politician to give a shit even when they are from the area.
Even if I was going to vote Labour in one of those constituencies I wouldn’t out of principle.
