The benefits of Brexit

  1. There are benefits and downsides to Brexit. The same goes for the European Union. In the end, it comes down to what set up works for each nation. The fastest growing economies in the world are not in the European Union
If they can do fine, am sure a nation that has more startup capital inflow than the European Union combined will do just fine.

  2. you can tell who’s read this and who’s not lmao

the document is just a summary of stuff they’ve done & stuff they’re planning on doing.

  3. Tldr: UK gov felt the need to publish an one sided “benefits” document because of the downsides of Brexit that weigh much more.

  4. Some true, some stretching it, some unimportant, some nothing to do with not being in the EU (although I guess might be more embarrassing at the next council of Europe meeting).

Surprisingly didn’t trot out the UK vaccine task force which was faster at getting vaccines, better at writing contracts and bought more vaccines per person than the EC (once they took it off EU national health ministers who probably knew what they were doing).

Found this on Guido Fawkes website for those who don’t want to read 108pages (this sub won’t allow linking to that site). Even they aren’t impressed and made comments next to many points..

    QUOTE OF THE DAY
Boris on Brexit victories seen so far:

“Look at what we’ve already done: we have freeports we’re doing around the UK; 60 free trade deals; cutting VAT on sanitary products; changing our whole approach to our agricultural system – changing the way we support farmers; taking back control of our waters; taking back control of our borders; taking back control of our money – £350 million a week as I seem to recall it said, accurately by the way; an much much more.”
