Tesco issue urgent Clubcard voucher reminder as £16.9 million worth set to expire this week

1. Not surprised. The last two sets of vouchers have required us to spend way more than we’ve ever done in order to get the £2/£3 off. So it’s not worth it anymore. Given that the Clubcard scheme is based off customer data, it seems self defeating to set spend limits that high.

   Unless it’s just part of pushing the narrative that Tesco are trying to assist customers- even if that’s meaningless in reality

2. I can’t use my clubcard points using my, wait for it, club card.

   I have to wait for the bastard post to being me the paper voucher.

   My post is so bad these days, I only get random mail.

   I only have a clubcard to get the lower prices Tesco’s wanky scheme dictates.

   Not saying Nectar is any better, but at least I can immediately use my points at the till!

3. This makes it sound like every voucher expires tonight which isn’t true going by the expiry dates on the app

4. Why do they even expire? Oh right, it’s to try and get you to spend sooner than you might need.

5. Gotta say, I think BP’s loyalty system is the best at the moment. Discounts on M&S products, and they dont fuck you over (currently) with the points. Easy to redeem too
