I can sort of understand the general mentality between showing two flags as Ireland supports a two state solution but I’m uncomfortable with flying their flag alongside Palestine while Israel is committing genocide.
Paul Murphy (who I’m no fan of) made a good point that we wouldn’t fly Russia’s flag alongside Ukraine’s.
Wouldn’t they be better off just not showing any flag except for the Irish one?
Peace will ultimately be the two countries/peoples living side by side. Supporting one against the other is counter productive to peace.
I think we really need to start thinking of a post-Israel future. Israel has made it’s continued existence practically impossible unless it makes major, and I mean major changes to essentially every aspect of it.
Because you can support the sovereignty of both Israel and Palestine?
