Yes of course. Russia will only pause the invasion if it’s to their advantage and it’s impossible for Ukraine to “pause” Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Who is even talking about a pause? When Russia is opening new fronts?
Does it mean that he does not rule out the pause?
For those think “that’s obvious”, it really isn’t so obvious for those who haven’t already intervened on either Russia’s or Ukraine’s side.

Ukraine needs to be an offensive threat again, and sooner rather than later. While not as severe as a complete pause in fighting, a non-threatening (to Russia) holding pattern that is allowing Russia the time and space to do a management changeover and rearm to some degree, is essentially a pause.
Hopefully there’s more recruiting, training, rearming, strategizing, and fortifying taking place in Ukraine behind the scenes than we’re currently privy to. July will make a year since Russian forces have truly been concerned about a substantial Ukrainian battlefield advance.
