Getting into this gardening lark. Tried last year and got a couple of tiny flowers, then workmen yanked out my just-starting-to-grow sunflower, so I gave up.
This year, I’ve got an absolute arseload of stuff planted out in pots, troughs, and bits of mud. But this is the first thing I’ve actually grown properly in over 40 years (unless cress counts in infants school), and I’m bloody well going to eat it. After washing, of course.
The slugs can fuck right off. I’m having this one.
Congrats on the green thing!
Keep at it, gardening is fun.
My mother started off with something small, after battling with slugs, birds etc, now she has a plot of land growing about 12 different veg/fruits
Even has a pond for koi carp, it’s very peaceful and has done her the world of good, until my Dad joins her to help
Keep at it OP
It’s supposed to be blue!
You’ve grown it wrong.

Butter lettuce? Well it’s better than I can do with any leafy green due to the number of earwigs here. Unless you prefer your greens holy.
What about the green stuff in the back of frame ?
Looks succulent and delicious, hopefully the first of many more to come <3
Butterhead? They’re the only thing we successfully grew too – and now they pop up all over the garden.
I harvested my rhubarb yesterday (first time also!) and I’ve stuck made a crumble today (waiting for it to come out the oven as we speak!)
Pfft, I’m always growing green stuff, it’s easy.
Granted, it’s mould I’m growing…
In england? Are you mad?
Congratulations on your lettuce! Rocket is quite easy to grow if you like peppery leaves.
As someone who cant keep succulents alive and the gardening gene completely skipped, nice one. Hope the slugs and snails leave everything else alone, they’ve eaten half of my mums veg this year.
